The United Reformed Churches of North Staffordshire

I’m Shirley Miller.  Originally from Lincolnshire, I worked for Interflora HQ for 25 years.  In 1999 I began to test my call whilst working as a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant & Detached Youth Worker.  After five years working in Berkshire I trained at Westminster College and was ordained in Sheffield in 2008.  In 2014 I married David and moved to North Staffordshire serving St Johns in Stone as a Transitional Minister.  Since 2015 I have also been serving Trinity LEP in Stafford and since 2016 also serve the Stafford Circuit on a half-time basis.  The other half of the week I serve as a half-time Team Minster in the United Reformed Churches of North Staffordshire.

The group is served by a Leadership Team made up of ordained Ministers and Elders.

I’m David Miller. I was born and brought up in Derbyshire, studied engineering at the University of Surrey and worked for seven years in London in the telecommunications industry.

I have always been part of a church community and first felt a call to train for ministry in the late 80's. I studied at Westminster College between 1992 and 1996 and was ordained and inducted in Peterborough where I served St. Andrew's URC until Easter 2013. I was inducted as a full-time Team Minister here in North Staffordshire in May 2013 and also serve the West Midlands Synod as the local Area Minister.
